The old saying: “It’s who you know”…came to have special meaning in early 2015; over coffee, we three educational professionals, who had known each other for years, realized that we collectively had been helping, teaching, advising, encouraging, and assisting students for a grand total of almost 100 years!
That astonished even us, and yet, we said, “Why couldn’t our accumulative wisdom be unified into one powerful guiding force to mentor students during these complex times?”
And so we talked.
And we thought.
And we realized we had a vision:
Drawing on our separate but complementary fields of expertise, we could offer to young adults and parents our collective experience and proven strategies to navigate more effectively:
- The current complexities of higher education
- The challenge of defining their career paths, and
- The acquisition of life skills.
We three professionals would collaborate as one consultancy.
And our Consultancy would be an integrative process, leaving no stone unturned, so to speak, no possibility not considered, no question not raised.
And so, by working together, we will offer collective advising -- phased, developmental, and completely individualized. Each student will also join our team as an active participant, thereby gaining the abilities to maximize their college experiences, as they define who they will become.
